Work has been busy. My EM has told me that I'm underperforming and I have a mentor now.

I've been hacking on the M5K slowly. I've been too busy lately between work and life to really do much with it. I also haven't flown my drone in at least a week, so that's kind of a bummer. Some days I feel like I'm just hanging on, barely getting done the things I need to get done, and there's a ton of housework that needs to be done too.

That being said, I did pass the airman knowledge test for the remote pilot exam (Unmanned General). Being at the airport made me miss flying, so I'm going to look into the PPL process. I checked IACRA, the FAA site where all the license information is, and my student pilot's license is in there - from 2003.

In an attempt to return to some more ML stuff, I grabbed the JetBot (ships sometime in July), and a Jetson Nano kit to just hack on. Also, the LoStiks I ordered (USB LoRa modems) shipped, so there's that.

I've been doing a lot of work in Selenium this week to build out my team's integration tests, and it's pretty painful. One of the things I dislike the most is the spooky action at a distance; sometimes, unrelated tests fail for obscure reasons. Moving up the stack means everything is just so much shakier, and it's often difficult to reason about. Worse is that the failures will happen on merge, after running the usual battery of tests.
