PT: an hour on the elliptical (I got to whenever the machine said 700 calories, regardless of whether that was representative of how many I burned), then a modified starting strength workout:
- deadlifts: 1×5 @ 170#, 5×5 @ 180# – I realized I hadn’t actually bumped the weight up from my last time after the first set, so I did five sets at the correct weight.
- bench: 5×5 @ 155#
- back squat: 5×5 @ 205#
I managed to get the first two paragraphs of the Declaration of Independence memorized in between sets today, too.
GD: I cleaned up the basketball court outside the gym again. Also jumped in to help out at the BBQ I was at today, which is just normally something I do because I don’t like sitting around when there’s work to be done. The hosts were extremely appreciative, though. I also told a good friend of mine how important our relationship was to me and how much I valued that relationship. I’m trying to be more intentional about cultivating the important relationships in my life.
Agon: 3/7 done, no progress today.
Badge: today was a lot longer than I thought it was going to be, so not much progress on the journaling front.
